General Information
The Haute école de musique de Genève (HEM) trains the versatile musicians of tomorrow, helping them to develop their individual artistic personalities. The HEM curriculum is taught by high-calibre professionals who are committed to teaching and practising music from the earliest to the most contemporary periods, from improvisation to written music, including movement, electronic and world music.
The HEM awards its students Bachelor's and Master's degrees in music and offers continuing education courses that open up a wide range of professional prospects for them as performers, teachers, managers of cultural projects and creative artists. These prospects are enhanced by close collaboration with local, national and international cultural players.
The HEM also organises concerts and events of all kinds, both on and off campus. Open to all, these performances reflect the spontaneity and diversity of the students' musical personalities.
The HEM also supports numerous artistic research projects in collaboration with local and international scientific and artistic partners, in all kinds of fields (creation, integration and dissemination, intercultural dialogue, digital, developments in the profession, etc.).
