General Information

The Faculty of Performing Arts has a history dating back to the establishment of Rogaland Music Conservatory in 1945. Today the Faculty of Performing Arts is a part of the University of Stavanger. More than 200 students are pursuing a range of courses in classical music, jazz/improvisation, voice, music- and dance education, dance, and music production. With a core faculty of 35 full-time and 40 professional part-time instructors, the institution provides a collegiate, professional performing arts environment that ephasizes close contact between students and teachers.
