First meeting: Monday 30 November 2026, 16:30 CET (online)

The AEC Digitisation Working Group is launching a Digital Transformation Stakeholder Network: a space for learning, exchange and mutual support as Higher Music Education navigates its ongoing digital transformation.

Who can join?

The network is open to everyone interested in following and contributing to digital developments in Higher Music Education, including people from outside the AEC membership. Teaching and administrative staff, institutional leaders, researchers, students, IT and digital learning specialists, and anyone else working with or curious about digital transformation are warmly welcome.

What will we discuss?

The network will meet online two to three times a year, starting this autumn.

Topics will include:

  • opportunities and challenges of digital transformation
  • good practices from peer institutions
  • the role of digital tools in teaching, research and administration
  • strategic approaches to digitalisation
  • ethical, inclusive and sustainable digital transformation

One of the concrete developments currently under way is an AEC Digital Maturity Benchmarking Tool. The tool is being designed to help institutions assess their current digital maturity across a series of areas and, more importantly, identify realistic priorities for further development.
