Last 10th of June, AEC Vice-President Georg Schulz (Kunstuniversität Graz) was elected as new member for the Execturive Board of the International Music Council (IMC) during its recent 37th General Assembly, which tool place in Pafos (Cyprus).
The IMC Executive Board is elected every 2 years by the IMC General Assembly. Elected Board members serve a two-year term, renewable twice. Between General Assemblies, the Executive Board takes all decisions necessary on behalf of the Council and ensures the implementation of all other decisions of the General Assembly. Moreover, The Executive Board admits members and submits to the General Assembly a report of the Council's work and its financial position.
AEC would like to congratulate Prof. Schulz for the appointment and wish him all the best for this 2-year term. AEC is very pleased to continue being involved as an organisation in the IMC Executive Board and we consider very beneficial for future cooperation to have one of its Council members directly involved in IMC activities.
