Akademie Versailles is an international educational project aimed at the interpretation of French Baroque music and its period performance practice. The project is organized by the Collegium Marianum and the Centre de musique baroque de Versailles (CMBV) in collaboration with the French Institute and the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague and it takes place between 7 and 11 March 2018 at the Music Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague.

The 2018 masterclass will be led by the following renowned lecturers:

  • Chantal Santon-Jeffery – solo vocal performance, interpretation, ornamentation
  • Deda Cristina Colonna – gesture, scenic aspects of performance, dance
  • Jory Vinikour – harpsichord, basso continuo
  • Benoît Dratwicki – rhetoric, declamation and pronunciation of the French language
  • Barbara Nestola – rhetoric, declamation and pronunciation of the Italian language
The masterclasses are aimed at students from conservatoires and music universities, professionals and music pedagogues. The classes will be taught through English.
