The VIVALDI VOCAL is an Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) , organised by the Conservatorio di musica ‘F.A. Bonporti’ di Trento and Riva del Garda.

The programme will feature at the AEC Annual Meeting for International Relations Coordinators 2026, which will take place this year in Trento (organised by the AEC).

Objectives

  • Intercultural learning through joint music-making and exchange with international partners
  • Promotion of teamwork, communication and artistic expression in an international ensemble
  • Implementation of “Artistic research”

We are looking for students to join the orchestra and choir. For the latter, we are explicitly targeting students with choir experience or who enjoy singing in a choir, regardless of their main subject. Teachers are also welcome to participate (Staff Mobility for Training).

Activities

Virtual component (T.B.A.)

  • Introduction to the project
  • Historical and musical analysis of the Concerto n. 1 for piano and orchestra by L.W. Beethoven and Gloria in D major by A. Vivaldi in groups

Physical mobility (31 August– 4 September 2026)

  • Joint orchestra/choir rehearsals
  • Exchange formats on the participants’ national musical traditions
  • Final public concert in the Conservatorio di Musica “F.A. Bonporti” (Trento)

The rehearsals with the highest number of participants will be:

  • Tuesday 1 September, 3.00–7.00 pm
  • Wednesday 2 September, 3.00–7.00 pm
  • Thursday 3 September, 3.00–7.00 pm
  • Friday 4 September, 6.00 pm: final preparations – 8.30 pm: Concert

At other times, meetings, open lessons, introductory sessions, etc. will be organised.

Videos do not need to be professionally recorded; it is sufficient if they are recorded by a teacher using a mobile phone.

For applicants to the choir:

  • Link to a video of you performing, a piece of your choice (maximum length: 6 minutes).

For applicants to the orchestra:

  • Link to a video of you performing, a piece of your choice (maximum length: 5 minutes).

For singers:

  • Link to a video of you performing, a piece of your choice (maximum length: 5 minutes).

Application deadline

Credits

3 (Three) ECTS credits will be awarded for participation in the entire BIP programme.
