The Conservatorio “Lorenzo Perosi” in Campobasso has been an active AEC member for many years, with a long track record in Erasmus+ mobility for both students and staff. Founded in 1971, it is the only higher education institution in arts, music and choreography in the Molise region, and one of the largest conservatories in Italy by number of student productions.

The conservatory welcomes incoming students for study and traineeship mobilities, as well as staff for teaching and training visits throughout the academic year. Individual lessons can be conducted in English, and free Italian language courses are available in partnership with the University of Molise for those who wish to develop their language skills during their stay.

This autumn, the conservatory is organising an international conference on Artistic Research, taking place from 6 to 8 October 2026 at its auditorium in Campobasso. The conference brings together researchers, faculty and students to present academic papers and performances across a wide range of topics connected to musical practice.
