Classical:NEXT is an international meeting point for innovators in classical and art music. Each edition brings together the global community for a programme that includes an interactive conference, project pitches, showcase concerts, film showcases, an expo and the Innovation Award, alongside many opportunities for networking.

For its 2027 edition in Katowice, Classical:NEXT is looking for bold ideas from across the sector. Proposals can cover early or contemporary music, traditional or experimental formats, live or recorded work, and may focus on education, artistic practice or business. The programme is built by the community itself, with contributions from artists, managers, presenters, orchestras, labels, educators, press, filmmakers, tech innovators, publishers and others. Conservatoire staff, students and ensembles working on new approaches are well placed to take part.

All proposals are reviewed by an independent jury of international experts, who aim for a balanced programme in terms of geography, gender, themes and instrumentation.

Please note that Film Showcase proposals follow a separate call, which will open at the beginning of November 2026.
