AEC is proud to present the ARTEMIS Outputs Brochure, a collection of resources, reflections, and tools created through our three-year Creative Europe network project AEC – Empowering Artists as Makers in Society (ARTEMIS).
At the heart of ARTEMIS lies a strong conviction: musicians today are not only performers and educators, but also active makers in and of society — shaping culture, contributing to social change, and driving innovation in Higher Music Education (HME). The project’s outcomes invite us all to imagine and build institutions that are more inclusive, future-oriented, and deeply connected to the world around them.
How to use the brochure
The brochure can be very useful for all AEC Members. Whether you are a director, teacher, international relations coordinator, or student, you will find resources tailored to your role, including:
- Strategic guides on curriculum innovation, digitisation, and diversity, equity & inclusion.
- Insights into international cooperation, mobility, and artistic research.
- Opportunities for professional development and student empowerment.
Our gratitude
The ARTEMIS project has been a truly collective achievement, made possible thanks to the dedication and expertise of our entire community. At the heart of this process have been the members of our working groups and task forces, whose tireless commitment and insights have guided the project from its earliest steps to its final outcomes. We are equally grateful to the many AEC members and partner organisations who contributed their knowledge and experience along the way, whether through workshops, consultations, or active participation in events. To all those who joined the conversations, shared their practices, and tested ideas with us, your voices have enriched and shaped the work in invaluable ways. Finally, we wish to warmly thank the AEC Office staff for their continuous support and coordination, which made it possible to bring together this vibrant network of people.
Help us disseminate ARTEMIS
To maximise the impact of this work, we warmly encourage you to help spread the brochure within and beyond your institution:
- Share it at meetings, in newsletters, or through your institution’s channels.
- Highlight your institution’s or staff’s contributions to ARTEMIS.
- Draw attention to the most relevant resources for your staff and students.
- Share it with partners, networks, and cultural stakeholders.
Together, let’s amplify the impact of ARTEMIS and ensure its outcomes inspire transformation across our community.
