The European Music Council (EMC) is glad to share with you the relaunch of its staff exchange programme. As EMC received positive feedbacks from the members who participated in the previous editions of this programme, and from its members’ survey in November 2016, the team would like to offer this opportunity again to EMC members, which includes all AEC member institutions.

After analysing the feedback from previous trainings, EMC proposes a slightly different format of the new programme:

A shorter duration: 2-5 days

More choice in finding your peer: only one of the participating organisations (sending or hosting) will have to be member of the EMC.

Please fill in the following form if you are interested in participating in this programme until 31 October. The EMC will cover all reasonable costs for travel and accommodation and also contribute to subsistence costs so that financial efforts by the host, the sending organisation or the person travelling can be minimized.

Note as well that the placement must have taken place by the end of April 2018

The idea behind the programme is that one music organisation sends any interested staff or Board member to another organisation – if possible in a different country – and/or hosts a staff or Board member from another organisation. This programme offers participants the chance to spend a few days learning from each other, sharing experiences, and getting an insight into a foreign (working) culture. You will find testimonials online of previous participants to this exchange. Taking part in a work placement exchange scheme can be a great experience for the host, the sending organisation and the person travelling for a number of reasons (exchange on different ways of how to manage an office, create links or projects for the future, exchange on policy making in the respective country and many more…).

Should you have any further enquiries on the programme, please get in touch with the EMC office
