AEC has joined Europe’s music sector in urging the Council and European Parliament to reject the proposed 30% cut to AgoraEU, the EU’s proposed funding programme for culture, media and civil society for 2028–2034.

Jointly the music sector is calling for at least the Commission’s €8.6 billion budget and dedicated, ring-fenced funding for music across the value chain. Europe’s music sector supports 2 million jobs and generates €9.7 billion in exports; its future needs investment, not cuts.
