AEC members are warmly invited to join GLOMUS Camp 2027, taking place at the University of Cape Town, South Africa, from 9–19 January 2027.
Bringing together students, teachers and leaders from performing arts institutions around the world, the biennial GLOMUS Camp offers ten days of workshops, performances, lectures, exchange and international collaboration under the theme “Arts in Action.”
A particular highlight will be the GLOMUS Leadership Forum on 15–16 January, where institutional leaders will explore two highly topical questions.
On 15 January, the discussion on Activism in Arts Education will consider how arts institutions can navigate political polarisation, calls for activism and questions of institutional responsibility and neutrality.
On 16 January, GLOMUS on the international scene will look outward, exploring how GLOMUS can strengthen its cooperation with AEC and other international organisations working in higher performing arts education.
For AEC members interested in international exchange, institutional leadership and the wider societal role of the arts, the Camp offers an excellent opportunity to connect with colleagues from across the world and contribute to important conversations about the future of arts education.
