The Harma HUB partners gathered in Brussels on 19-20 January for a Transnational Project Meeting, hosted by the AEC. The meeting took place in a hybrid format and focused on updates on the project’s progress, planned next steps, and distributed upcoming tasks.
As the project approaches its conclusion, the meeting centred on the progress of its key intellectual outputs and the coordination activities undertaken by each partner. This provided a valuable opportunity to exchange feedback and ensure alignment across all outputs. The session continued with a group discussion in which partners highlighted both completed and upcoming dissemination activities, aimed at maximising the reach and impact of the project’s results.
Further discussions focused on the evaluation of the Transnational Project Meeting and the mid-project dissemination event held in Budapest. The partners also discussed the details of the upcoming HarMA Staff Training. This event, dedicated to the staff of the HarMA HUB project partners, will take place from 21 to 25 April 2026 at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre in Tallinn, Estonia. This training week is specifically designed for music theory teachers at music academies and universities, offering an opportunity to showcase and share innovative teaching methods and practices to enhance the quality of music theory education across European higher music institutions. Throughout the five-day program, leading experts will present the most advanced techniques for teaching music theory, with each lecture followed by practical seminars where participants can immediately apply the concepts and methods introduced.
In the afternoon session of the Transnational Project meeting in Brussels, the partners reviewed the progress achieved across work packages, clarified upcoming deadlines, and agreed on the distribution of tasks. The meeting concluded with an open discussion reflecting on the overall experience of the project implementation, allowing partners to share insights, highlight successes, and ensure the continued smooth progress of project-related activities.
As coordinator for communication and dissemination, the AEC presented the project’s impact at both European and international levels, along with the outcomes of dissemination activities carried out to date. HarMA HUB had a successful dissemination event in the framework of the AEC International Relations Annual Meeting 2025 in Budapest, where the project was presented as a model of successful international cooperation. The HarMA HUB has also been showcased at the AEC Congress 2025. Other HarMA HUB news has been circulated in the AEC community through the AEC newsletter and social media platforms. Moreover, the AEC presented its Communication and Dissemination Strategy for the HarMA HUB.
