The Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre is pleased to announce the upcoming IMPACT forum, focusing on research-based education. Scheduled for November 27-30, 2024, this event is co-organised with The Makings of the Actor (Athens, Greece) and their project “Act in the World”, funded by the Greek Ministry of Culture and Sports. The event will explore the integration of research into the teaching and learning processes within the performing arts.
IMPACT is an informal network dedicated to improvisation and creativity, drawing on interdisciplinary perspectives across music, theatre, dance, media, and artistic research. It also welcomes contributions from the humanities, social sciences, and other disciplines, creating a platform for dialogue that bridges artistic practice and academic research.
This event will provide an open and experimental forum for educators, artists, and researchers to engage with innovative educational approaches and explore the intersections of performance, research, and education. Through various interactive formats, the forum aims to encourage the development of new methodologies and promote creative exchange in a collaborative, interdisciplinary setting.
