From 10 to 15 September 2018 a unique singing contest – International Tenor Competition of the Elena Obraztsova Foundation «José Carreras Grand Prix» – will be held at the Moscow Musical Theatre «Helikon-Opera» under Dmitry Bertman.

The contest is meant for young tenors (aged 18-35) and its aim is to find young talented performers, present them to the general public, vocal teachers and managers of Russia and abroad, encourage singers to work on the repertoire and develop international contacts in the field of opera art.

The contest offers young performers the opportunity to get professional advice and recommendations from outstanding masters. The Jury will be headed by one of the most famous tenors of the world, Spanish opera singer José Carreras and will be composed of:

Christina Scheppelmann, Artistic Director General at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona (Spain)
