The Association Européenne des Conservatoires (AEC) is proud to contribute to the upcoming International Conference & Artistic Reunion, taking place from 15–17 October 2026 in the scenic city of Klagenfurt, Austria.
Hosted by the Gustav Mahler Private University of Music (GMPU), this event is a cornerstone of the Horizon Europe project dialoguing@rts. Under the theme “Cultural Literacies: Social Empowerment through the Arts,” the reunion will explore how music and performing arts serve as vital drivers for social change and justice across Europe.
A Convergence of Art and Research
This conference focuses on “Ethnographies in Dialogue,” showcasing best practices in arts education from Italy, Austria, Germany, Norway, and Serbia. Attendees can expect a rich, interdisciplinary program featuring:
-
Roundtables & Panels: Deep dives into “cultural education” and “diversity” with concrete case studies from across the continent.
-
Practical Workshops: Join the (Re)Shape Transcultural Music Ensemble to explore the nuances of composing and “musicking” across cultural boundaries.
-
Artistic Interventions: Experience soundwalks and performances in unexpected locations around the Wörthersee.
-
High-Level Discourse: Engage with representatives from UNESCO, EMC, and the AEC to discuss the future of the arts in society.
