AEC (2025-2028) – Creative Europe Network

The project will build on the results of previous projects carried out by the AEC, in particular the work and outputs of the AEC – Empowering Artists as Makers in Society (AEC-ARTEMIS, 2022-2025).
Music and the arts play a vital role in strengthening social cohesion by building meaningful communities at a time when climate change, geopolitical instability, digital uniformity, and mental-health challenges—especially among young people—threaten cultural diversity and human values.
Working at the intersection of culture and education, Association Européenne des Conservatoires (AEC) represents Europe’s Higher Music Education Institutions not only as educators of future artists, but as active cultural organizations shaping society. By driving innovation, sustainability, and artistic excellence, AEC supports institutions in developing compelling study programmes that respond to societal needs while safeguarding creativity in the digital age.
Through strong synergies with EU-funded initiatives and key European policy frameworks, the project contributes to shaping cultural policy, reinforcing the link between education and society, and enabling institutions and graduates alike to become long-term ambassadors for diversity, inclusion, equality, and sustainable cultural practice.
