YOUR TASKS
• Independent teaching of courses and holding of examinations
• Independent research activities
• Supervision of students, including supervision of theses
(BA, MA; also of Ph.D. and Dr. art. if venia docendi is held)
• External and internal representation and development of the subject area and the institute, including a focus on interdisciplinary connections to Gender Studies, theories of performativity as well as theoretical approaches from theatre and media studies

• Participation in research and teaching duties as well as examinations whenever they will be assigned to the organizational unit
• Participation in organizational and administrative tasks as well as assignments to partake in evaluations
• Participation in third-mission projects and tasks concerning public relations
YOUR PROFILE
• Doctoral degree in Historical Musicology pertinent to the position, preferably with focus on contemporary music
• Relevant publications in national and international outlets
• Teaching experience in the tertiary sector, preferably including supervision of BA theses
• A project for habilitation is desirable
• Academic networking in national and international contexts
• Experience in interdisciplinary research and collaboration
• Proven experience and skills in organizing international conferences
• Excellent knowledge of English required; strong knowledge of German is an advantage
• Sensitivity in dealing with gender, diversity and sustainability
• Experience in the field of science communication (science outreach) is desirable

CONTRACT
• The employment contract is permanent
• Employment level: part-time employment level of 75 % of full-time employment.
• Salary: minimum monthly gross salary currently € 3,699.68 (14x annually) according to the collective bargaining Agreement for University Staff and may be increased based on the terms of the collective agreement, considering the professional experience relevant to the position.
