Organization
AEC Office
Meet the AEC Office team. Based in Brussels, this international team counts 7 employees and 2 interns, and is responsible for coordinating all AEC activities.
AEC Council
The AEC Council represents the members of the AEC. It consists of twelve representatives from member institutions in twelve different countries: the Executive Committee (President, Secretary General and two Vice-Presidents) and 9 regular Council members (including a co-opted representative of the AEC Associate Members).
AEC General Assembly
The main body of the Association is the General Assembly, consisting of representatives of all AEC active and associate members. In the AEC Statutes, which, with the move of the AEC Office to Brussels in December 2012, are based on Belgian association law, the General Assembly is described as the ‘General Organ of Direction of the Association’.
AEC Working Groups
The AEC organizes its different platforms and activities through the establishment of different Working Groups composed by experts in the different areas within the field of Higher Music Education.
Student internships at the AEC Office
The European Association of Conservatoires (AEC), founded in 1953, is the leading voice for higher music education (HME) in Europe, representing a dynamic European cultural and educational network with almost 300 institutions for professional music training in 55 countries (conservatoires, music academies and universities, musikhochschulen, etc.).
