Just a little more than a year ago, a series of webinars was launched under the heading WE ARE – standing for ‘Webinars on Artistic Research Education’. Originally set up as a follow-up to the Erasmus+ projects RAPP Lab and REACT, the WE ARE initiative aims to address burning questions around the issue of how to learn and teach, to support and supervise Artistic Research in music. Three webinars in this series already took place and received a very positive response from the audience. (Information and recordings of the previous webinars can be found here).
We promised that the series would continue, and here we are. Save the date to join the 4th episode of the WE ARE series:
Tuesday 23 June 2026, 15:00 – 17:00 CEST
Online resources for Artistic Research tuition in 1st and 2nd cycle education
Presented and facilitated by Stefan Östersjö, Piteå School of Music at Luleå University of Technology
The webinar will ask what video tutorials and similar resources are currently available for courses in Artistic Research for students in 1st and 2nd cycle education? How can these be utilised to enable further knowledge transfer across our teaching institutions, and how may they support student autonomy and life-long learning? The presentation builds largely on the REACT project output of a virtual academy, but also presents other resources and discusses their wider potential application.
The webinar is aimed at teachers, doctoral candidates, students, supervisors and anyone who wants to learn more about Artistic Research. Participation is free of charge.
Further information on the practicalities will be available shortly on the AEC website.
