Sustainability

At the AEC Congress in Milan, where we’re making sustainable choices every step of the way!
All attendees are encouraged to reach the venue through eco-friendly travel options, and we provide here below a list of accommodations that have eco-friendly certification.

Waste separation stations will be available throughout Mozarteum. Badges, too, are repurposed from previous AEC events. Please, consider bringing your reusable water bottle to reduce the plastic waste. To save energy, we encourage taking the stairs whenever possible. Lunch will be vegetarian, with vegan options offered at the farewell dinner as well—an effort to reduce our collective environmental footprint while sharing great food.

We are going paperless again: all information about the event can be found in the Swapcard App for
Smartphones and Swapcard app for Desktop. We advise you to download
Swapcard on your smartphone already now. You have access to Swapcard by
signing up and logging with the email address you used to register for the event.
Should you use a different email address, the access will be denied.

As per the AEC Goes Green policy, participants are strongly encouraged, whenever possible, to reach Salzburg by the most sustainable way of transportation in order to reduce the carbon footprint produced by the event and to choose eco-certified hotels. Thank you for helping to save the planet!

This link is already preset to the period (4^th – 8^th November 2025) of the contingent, so that you can easily and conveniently book your desired hotel.

1. Room booking up to 4 rooms:You can book up to 4 rooms directly via the online booking link below.
2. Group bookings (5 rooms or more):Should you wish to make a group booking of 5 rooms or more, please contact the Salzburg Congress Services office via the offer link below. In your request, please be sure to specify the desired hotel from the available contingent.
3. Bookings outside the contingent period:If you need rooms beyond the contingent period, please contact us via the offer link.
4. Deadline for bookings and inquiries:All bookings and inquiries must be made by the specified date. After this date, it may no longer be possible to guarantee an offer or booking.

We therefore recommend that you book in good time to secure your place in the desired hotel.

Note on Hotel Availability

During the period of the AEC Annual Congress and General Assembly 2025, a major event will also be taking place in Salzburg. As a result, the city is expected to be heavily booked.

We therefore kindly encourage you to make your hotel reservation as early as possible in order to secure accommodation in your preferred location and category.

Please note that after the official booking deadline for the reserved hotel allotments, we can no longer guarantee availability—especially at the recommended hotels.
