The AEC Annual Congress and General Assembly 2026 will take place at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg on 4–7 November 2026.

Beware of Fraudulent Registration and Accommodation Offers
Please be aware of fraudulent companies and third-party agencies that may contact you offering AEC Congress registration or hotel accommodation in Hamburg.
Fraudulent companies may use the AEC name, logo or Congress information to appear legitimate. They may contact participants by email. In some cases, payments are requested for registrations or hotel rooms that do not actually exist.
The AEC cannot assume responsibility for any bookings or payments made through unauthorised third parties. To protect yourself, please only use the official AEC Congress registration and accommodation information provided on this website.
How to protect yourself
- Only register through the official AEC Congress registration platform linked from this website.
- Only book accommodation through the official channels recommended by AEC.
- Be cautious of unsolicited emails offering registration, hotel rooms or special rates.
- Check the sender’s email address carefully. An email using the AEC name or logo does not necessarily come from AEC.
- Do not make payments or provide personal or payment information to third parties unless you have verified that they are officially connected to the Congress.
- AEC will never ask you to provide your personal login credentials or passwords by email.
What to do if you receive a suspicious message
If you receive an unexpected email or offer that appears to be related to the AEC Congress and you are unsure whether it is legitimate:
- Do not make any payment.
- Do not provide personal, login or payment details.
- Avoid responding to the sender or clicking on suspicious links.
- Contact the AEC Congress team directly using the contact details published on this official website so that we can verify the information for you.
Hotel accommodation
Please note that only the official accommodation options and booking channels indicated on the AEC Congress website are authorised by AEC.
Other agencies may claim to have access to special Congress rates or hotel room blocks. Unless they are explicitly identified on the official Congress website, AEC has not authorised them to represent the Congress or to make accommodation bookings on its behalf.
Fraudulent hotel agencies may offer attractive rates and request payment in advance. In some cases, participants only discover the problem when they contact the hotel and learn that no reservation exists. This can result in both financial loss and the difficulty of finding alternative accommodation at short notice.
When in doubt, please check with the AEC Congress team before making any payment.
